Cleveland Land Services has added the Kongskilde Stonebear Stone Rake to its CLS selfdrive range of hire equipment.
The Stonebear Stone Rake is designed to remove and collect stones and small roots from sports pitches and golf courses in order to prepare the ground for seeding or drilling.
Ideally used when the soil is dry and has been cultivated, spikes draw stones onto a sieve in the centre of the machine, which allows soil and small stones to pass through while collecting the larger items.
Power requirements for the Stonebear are said to be lower than most stone picking machines, with the ability to be used with a low power tractor as small as 55KW (72hp).
